Yes. Stock flasher relays are designed to blink twice as fast as normal when a bulb is burned out — to alert the rider. Because LEDs consume so little power, the stock relay reads them as "burned out" and blinks fast.

If the total power consumed by the blinkers drops too low, the stock flasher relay can fall below a threshold and stop blinking entirely. Fix: replace the flasher relay with one that has no minimum-load requirement (e.g. a Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay), or — if your bike has no replaceable relay — use a Custom LED Load Equalizer.
Replacing the factory flasher relay is almost always the best solution. The Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay is the cleanest fix for any bike with a compatible (2- or 3-wire) flasher relay — corrects blink rate without wasting power, and costs half as much as a pair of 25W Load Equalizers.
For motorcycles without a compatible flasher relay, the Custom LED 25 Watt Load Equalizer is the go-to solution.

No. None of our products have been submitted for DOT approval (this is not to say they would be rejected). Our products are designed and manufactured for off-road use only. There is no such thing as a DOT-approved integrated LED tail light, due to DOT requirements for blinker positioning.

Yes. If your item falls outside our warranty policy or has been damaged unintentionally, Custom LED offers repair/refurbish services for most products. A full tail-light refurbish includes a new harness, lens, housing, and a careful inspection & repair of the circuit board if needed.
