The Custom LED 2006-2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Blaster-X Integrated LED Tail Light was designed to function as a direct replacement for the OEM tail light.  The unit will install with exactly the same fit and electrical connectors as the OEM unit.  No cutting, splicing, or bodywork modifications are required, what so ever.

The integrated turn signal function of the ZX-14R Blaster-X Tail Light is designed to be utilized in conjunction with the OEM turn signals that are built into the OEM tail fairing.  Special electrical connectors are provided with our tail light to make this possible.  There is a significant added visibility by utilizing both the integrated turn signal function, along with the OEM turn signals in the rear.  However, if you choose to eliminate the OEM turn signals, the Blaster-X alone will provide excellent run, brake and turn functionality.

If you do remove any of the OEM turn signals (front or rear) you will need to replace your OEM flasher relay with our ELFR-1 to prevent the fast-blink issue.  If you are keeping the OEM turn signals connected, and simply adding our Blaster-X Tail Light, you do not need to replace the OEM flasher relay.

Additional hardware may be necessary if you wish to remove the OEM fender assembly and/or modify the bodywork on your motorcycle.  The fender assembly typically supports the license plate, and OEM blinker lamps.  On some models, removal of this fender assembly leaves gaps or unfinished sections of the bodywork under the tail section.  Keep in mind, our product is a direct replacement for the OEM tail light, and does not require any additional modifications. 

Installation of this product requires that you remove the OEM tail light from the motorcycle, and install this unit in its place.  Please consult a qualified technician or your repair manual for the proper procedure to remove the OEM tail light.
